Nevada License Office is Hiring an Office Clerk Near Nevada, MO

Job Description

The Nevada License Office is currently looking for clerks. Hours would range from 20-30 hours per week, schedule may vary week to week to fulfill business needs. Some Saturday mornings will be required. We provide service to customers who are applying for driver license, driver permit and state ID’s. Along with customers who apply for motor vehicle titles, registration, handicap placards, etc.

What we are looking for

A positive, punctual individual with a willingness to learn, and to serve customers quickly & efficiently while following state policy and procedure. A team player that is willing to help out with anything needed around the office on a daily basis that has a flexible schedule.

  • Must be able and willing to pass a drug test for illegal substances under Missouri Statute and background check. It is important to note that we are under contract with the State of Missouri - you must have all Federal and State income taxes, personal property taxes paid and vehicle sales tax paid.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in completing transactions.
  • Maintain a balanced drawer while accepting payments and giving correct change when needed.
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Answer phones - take messages and relay when necessary.
  • Assist manager and other clerks when needed.

Job Type: Part-time / Full time

Salary: Minimum $16.00 per hour after 40 hours paid training, with consideration for prior experience. Compensation review after 60 days (minimum increase to $16.75 after one year).

Benefits:

  • 60 hours paid time off for part-time / 120 hours paid time off for full time
  • Opportunity for full-time position and advancement.
